The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in our creed. Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded on March 9, 1856 at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. The Texas Alpha Chapter at Texas Tech University was founded on October 3, 1953, and continues to have a thriving presence in higher academia across the U.S.
The Texas Alpha chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon dedicates itself to strong alumni relations. It is not uncommon to find an alumni visiting the house, eating dinner with fraternity members, or tailgating with the fraternity. SAE Alumni ensure fraternity brothers are prepared to enter the work force and many graduates receive jobs through alumni. At Texas Alpha, graduation isn’t the end, because when you’re an SAE, you’re an SAE for life.
